I hear you on so many levels.
And I totally get what you're asking when it comes to symptoms and what is PMS and what isn't, etc.
I have a 7 year old daughter. Fastforward 6 years and I had a pregnancy that ended in miscarriage (2012) and a few months later another pregnancy (2013) that ended in miscarriage.
There was nothing really for any of these pregnancies...in the two week wait that tipped me off to being pregnant.
In fact, each time I was so certain my period was going to start any minute. I would have this sensation like I was about to start bleeding. And sometimes cramps. And sometimes even spotting (as I often get before my period). So it seemed like business as usual...period will start.
So I was shocked each time to get a bfp.
Each time I didn't get any "out of the ordinary" symptoms (indigestion and fatigue) until I was a couple days late for my period.
So that was outside of the 2WW.
I hear you on how frustrating this is. I have been on this roller coaster all year wondering about every little twinge and trying not to wonder and even when I think I'm not wondering, I am wondering, etc.
This, while being quite annoying, has also led me to know a week before I could test positive that I was pregnant all 3 times. Something just felt different. I just knew. Whether it was a nagging back pain, peeing all the time, or my tatas tingling or burning vs being heavy and tender, I just knew it was different.
Trust your body. You are ahead of a lot of ladies because you can since your ovulation so use it to your advantage. But also use it to empower yourself. If you know you are timing things correctly and it's been a year, it is probably worth checking in with your ob/gyn.
KandJ, I like the way you put that...it's empowering how much I know about my body and you know what, I know you are right.
I appreciate your advice, and am already at the step. Actually just had an HSG October 2nd. And yes I've heard all the "old wives tale" stories of people becoming pregnant right after. I'm hopeful, but trying to not be unrealistic.
We have pretty much all the information we're going to get at this time. Husband is perfectly fine. Mostly everything about me is ok with the exception of a low ovarian reserve. I'm 31, but the RE said according to my AMH number and the follicles detected on my CD3 ultrasound, I'm a little below average.
So our chances of conceiving naturally are definitely lower than ideal, but there's a chance! So with that chance, we just keep doing what we're doing and hoping for the best for right now...until we decide to take a next step....
Thanks again though! I'm not counting myself out this month until the witch shows her ugly face!
