Hi, I'm new here. I have a 15 month old daughter, and my husband and I are TTC #2. We have never used any contraceptives, and don't plan to, cause we would like a large family. I got pregnant fairly easily with my daughter, but have yet to get pregnant this time around. I know it may seem "early" to be concerned but I am worried a little. I've been tracking my fertility (as best as I can since I breastfeed my daughter) and my cycle is averaging 42 days with a luteal phase of 6/7 days. It was this way before we got married and I was told that it was due to a deficiency of progesterone. I took a hormone supplement before we were married, and I believe that's what helped me to conceive easier. We'd love to find natural ways to lengthen my luteal phase since I am still nursing my daughter and plan to allow her to self wean. I have had my period back since she was 7.5 months old, and am just wondering if anyone has advice for me. I have heard about vitamin B and red raspberry leaf tea, as potential things to take to lengthen Luteal Phase. Has anyone tried either of these and if so did they work? Thanks for your advice, and I hope this doesn't offend anyone. I just didn't know where else to go for advice on this topic! Several of my friends that had babies after my daughter are already pregnant again and I'm sad that it's not happening for us :(

I have been taking a natural supplement that is called fem bal which has helped balance my hormones so it has helped with both my cycle length and my ovulation date as well. I get it from my naturopath

I read about B6 as well, and this is actually my first full cycle taking them. starting taking them two weeks ago and just started my period yesterday, so i'm eager to see if it helps. Hoping it does as last cycle i didn't detect with my ovulation kit that i ovulated at all. I will keep you updated.... :-)

Cidekmat, I think I may have heard of that. I've been hoping to see an osteopathic/homeopathic doctor. Maybe when I go they will be able to give me that or something similar!

I don't know about sleeping better. But then again,I've always slept pretty well. I have noticed I've seemed to be more tired lately, but just attributed that to the fact that I work an early shift. I will let you know how it goes! keeping my fingers crossed!

I promised I'd let you know how the b6 had been going for me. I have two different apps on my phone for ovulation. and after using b6 to hopefully lengthen my luteal phase, and this cycle, my ovulation test said that I was ovulating on the same day my app said that should be in the middle of my cycle.

I didn't' ovulate last cycle from what my tests say which makes me worry that I am possibly only ovulating every other month, so I am waiting another cycle before I celebrate too much. But, hopefully I won't need it next month if our bd worked! :-) Best of luck to you!
