My husband & I have already been seeing a fertility specialist since March of this year, we had the consultation that month & then waited for my next period. When my next period came I went in for blood work, but that's all I did at that point yet, there was a misunderstanding I think due to the new computer system they got. And because of that I was only able to get just the blood work done at that point, we wanted to do an IUI cycle & because we could only do 1 round I actually was kind of glad the IUI process got extended. So that it wouldn't seem like the procedure was here done & over so quickly, that probably sounds weird to some of you but that's how I felt about it. According to the blood work I did have to take vitamin D3, & still am taking it. All the blood work they wanted me to have done came back normal, except of course the vitamin D level test. So we were luckily able to use injectables along with oral medication, so I was put on 300 IU of Follistim & 2.5mg of Letrozole, they also wanted me to take a low dose steroid Desamethasone to help the other medication to respond better. I assume some of you were or have been put on something like that too. And of course the Ovidrel trigger shot too. The nurse showed me from the ultrasound, that I had 2 follicles that were going to be ready from my right ovary, so I was excited to know that I had at least 2 follicles & was hoping & praying that whole time that they both would spit out some really good mature eggs. And we're hoping & praying for the best outcome especially because of the injectables & oral medications they had me on. This is the first time I've used injectables so that's especially why we are hoping & praying for the best outcome. Because all I was using awhile back was either Clomid or Letrozole. & I didn't respond too well to them, I'm not even sure if I ovulated when I was taking them. My OB/GYN was doing ovulation blood work but it didn't seem too accurate. So that's why I was glad when the fertility specialist put me on the injectables along with the Letrozole so it could definitely increase my chances of getting pregnant. So now we're waiting & hoping & praying that all the injectables & oral drugs did the trick. Because they definitely did all they could to help me, & I appreciate that. So anyway with all that said I would very much appreciate your prayers for this cycle to have done the trick.
