Trigeminal neuralgia, or Tic Douloureux, is a neuropathic disorder of the trigeminal nerve that causes episodes of intense pain in the eyes, lips, nose, scalp, forehead, and jaw. Trigeminal neuralgia is considered by many to be among the most painful of conditions.
What has your reaction to being exposed to cold air after you have developed TN? Before I started to take Trileptal I notice i was very sensitive to cold air. Now that I have been taking 1200 mg for 6 weeksmy body seems to be less sensitive to cold air. Does the medication affect our core body temperature?

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
What my neurologist explained to me was that the medications tell your mind not to feel pain. The pain is usually still there you're just not able to feel it. I know I still will get break through pain but I wear a hat with flaps and a scarf to help... I don't know if this is the answer in your case but that's what I was told.
