Trigeminal neuralgia, or Tic Douloureux, is a neuropathic disorder of the trigeminal nerve that causes episodes of intense pain in the eyes, lips, nose, scalp, forehead, and jaw. Trigeminal neuralgia is considered by many to be among the most painful of conditions.

OK just a rant again... Has anyone else had problems at the register... OK so I'm not so bright as Rudolph anymore... I can't react as fast as everyone else counting my money or using my debit card... I was yelled at by my Pharmacist you're not listening to me!!!! OK I'm sorry my attention span is like a two year old.. People behind me at the register aggghhh hummmm I'm taking to long using my debit though the self serve... I don't want a cashier they get aggravated when I'm slow... Everyone just step back and give me my space and time...

Yes! What I do now is apologize ahead of time before anyone decides to get upset ;) So this way it kind of calms the whole situation down. I always say something to the effect that I've been in everyone's way today or I'm slow today so bare with me. Of course people are still weird and mean. I really think that is part of MS and TN and some meds all rolled together with me. ;)

i AM SURPRISED THAT PEOPLE ARE MEAN. ALSO, I AM HEARING IMPAIRED--AND I CANNOT WEAR THE HEARING AIDS--BECAUSE OF THE SHINGLES. AFTER THE SECOND "WHAT" I SAY I AM HEARING IMPAIRED AND PEOPLE ARE UNDERSTANDING. YOU CAN TELL PEOPLE YOU HAVE MS--I THINK THEY WOULD BE UNDERSTANDING OF YOUR SITUATION. THEY WOULD NOT KNOW WHAT TN IS.

I am losing my job of 14 years at the end of the year. I was at this job at the onset of my TN, during my MVD surgery, total recovery and then relapse. I cannot imagine interviewing on these drugs. I am trying to cut my dose down but then the pain is worse. Either I will not be able to find my words or I won't be able to talk because of the pain. Very scary.

I'm so sorry you're going through this.. This is very hard to go through.. not only are you losing a job but close friends. I was let go after 11 years and I know the hurt you feel. I wish I could take it away for you... I opted to apply for disability I'm on my second appeal.. But I feel the same way the medication and flare ups impair your speech and thought process.
