Trigeminal Neuralgia Support Group
Trigeminal neuralgia, or Tic Douloureux, is a neuropathic disorder of the trigeminal nerve that causes episodes of intense pain in the eyes, lips, nose, scalp, forehead, and jaw. Trigeminal neuralgia is considered by many to be among the most painful of conditions.
Does anyone else have pets that help in their rehabilitation?
I have two dogs that are inside with me 24/7 and are my constant companions. In the past two weeks I've been very sick and they have been there with me and have been very beneficial in keeping me SANE.
They help me to no end in keeping me going, having someone to cry to when the pain is just to unbearable......
So without my Samson who is a 60 lbs American pit bull terrier and my Daphne who is a 20 lbs (big) miniature schnauzer I think I would not have made it through this last episode.

Yes, pets do wonders for us. It's a scientific fact, and the reason there are 'therapy dogs". Be thankful you have your furry family with their unconditional love. They have radar don't they? They know when we need them. I have a mutt named Louie who is there by my side like velcro on bad days :)

Yes! I have a cat that my husband got for me when I was diagnosed so I had some company on my bad days. She is constant entertainment and great company when I'm not feeling well.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus).
