Trigeminal Neuralgia Support Group
Trigeminal neuralgia, or Tic Douloureux, is a neuropathic disorder of the trigeminal nerve that causes episodes of intense pain in the eyes, lips, nose, scalp, forehead, and jaw. Trigeminal neuralgia is considered by many to be among the most painful of conditions.
I'm going to start cutting down on my meds as I think i might be in remission.
I have decided to put up with it as I am still getting the odd break through pain in my tongue and so I'm back on my regular dose.
I see the neurologist next week and will see what he recommends.
If this low dose can keep me from getting those awful attacks I think I will stay on the drug despite the smell.
It is scary to be on something that could cause serious problems yet what to do? Eating is beginning to botherme again but then I'm under a lot of stress which may be contributing to this.
