lets make today our day ONE of not pulling!

I dont understand.
The past summer i had not pulled for almost 3 months. my hair had grown in and i was just so happy to be able to wear my hair in any style i wanted. my eyelashes were full and i actually felt beautiful for once.
I pull my hair and my lashes. because i pull both, one usually gets worse while the other gets better. i was leaving my hair alone this summer so when the urge came i went to my lashes.
After someone ( a rude person btw....who shouts out " do u not have eyelashes!?"..honestly..if i didnt have this disease and i saw someone like this i would stay quiet and not embarrass them!...anyways im rambling" ) She embarrassed me and made it clear to me that my lashes problem was getting bad again and that i had hit rock bottom. So i began to leave my lashes alone. i usually have to hit the bottom for me to smarten up and stop.
I now have full lashes, tho i have some gaps because ive been pulling so long..but i am happy with them.
on the flip side, ive been pulling my hair like crazy. im soo stressed in school and i have been taking it out on my scalp.
i cant wear my hair down now because its gotten so bad. and when i do i wear a hat.
sometimes its hard to stay strong when you feel at the bottom. i always feel better after making a post here tho, I think today will be my first day on the recovery road.
If anyone would like to start fresh with me today, let me know and i will start posting daily. Lets make a support froup within a support group!
Thanks guys.

I wish you a happy pull free day one, and many more. I have been where you are at more than once, growing my hair in nicely and then pulling it out again.
But I am now 22 days pull free today with no urges to pull at all. I am totally done with trich and this time I know it is for good. I hit my bottom and said that's enough, no more pulling!
I have been on a journey of growth lately (both with my hair and with changes I am making in my life) . I am learning to think more positively instead of negatively, and am reading great self help books such as "Creative Visualization by Shakti Gawain and Feel the Fear and Do it Anyway by Susan Jeffers, etc. I am claiming my power within, and believe that I have beaten trich forever this time. I feel that trich starts when we are feeling anxious, stressed, traumatized, or depressed, but it soon turns into an addictive behaviour.
Believe in yourself and your ability to stop pulling, claim your power, and you WILL beat trich forever !
Coming to this forum daily, writing in my journal here, setting a goal on my profile page, and messaging with friends I have made on this board has helped me along in my journey of being pull free forever.
I also have experienced rude behaviour from people I work with. A few of them have pulled my hair on my wig and asked "Is that a wig?" and I denied it. I would NEVER say or do anything like that to anybody.
You have come to the right place for support.
Take care of YOU, and please come by daily here to read the posts, to vent or ask anything you want, and we will be here for you in your journey to freedom from pulling.
But, if you have a more consistent pulling behavior/pattern, then a pull-free-athon like Trickster recommends may be a good idea.
You are strong enough to do this :)
What I do for this is have three separate columns for the goal to help me do the steps for each part to keep the hands away from the danger zone.
I am now working on one eyebrow, the other eyebrow is almost completely grown in naturally, and I have to be far more diligent about the hair around my ears since I'm now drawn to that area after making my eyebrows so less appealing to pull.
One day, some days are one moment at a time, you are not alone, and for some of us, the worse time is after the growth has returned and we reach the same time in our monthly cycle the next month.
Keep your hands down, and best wishes!
