So I just recieved some very good news (I was admitted into my top choice graduate school) and so I'm VERY HAPPY. But I also noticed, I'm having a really really bad pulling episode now! I cant stop!

I wonder if maybe the good news triggered it or if it's just a coincidence.

I pull when I'm happy, sad, anxious, excited.... The level of my emotion is my trigger, not the particular type of emotion.

Sorry you are having a reaction- now is the time for all your barriers. Try some ice packs on the crawly areas, then put lavender essential oil on the "hot" areas to soothe the scalp. Try to change your routine up instead of sitting at the usual spots that are comfort places to pull.

I feel like more often than not, i pull more when I'm bored. It always frustrates me that people (such as my parents mostly) try to suggest I pull because I'm too stressed, that I'm depressed, that something bad must have happened to me when I was younger, etc.

I really think it has nothing to do with any of those things. I think it just happens when I'm alone for no particular reason.

I feel like my trich CAUSES me to feel upset, but being upset doesn't cause me trich!!
