is this suitable 4 helping with trich? i heard N-Acetyl Cysteine helps with trich, but these say vegicaps so i dont know if its the same or not?

I think it should be the same... It says NAC lol I think it's just suitable for vegetarians unlike the other kind which aren't?
I'm taking NAC right now too. It seems to be working. Takes a lot to get used to the smell though.

It didn't say how much $$? I purchased some from a website called Puritan's Pride http://www.puritan.com/amino-acid-supplements-082/n-acetyl-cysteine-nac-600-mg-000214?searchterm=nac&rdcnt=1&page=1&sortOrder=2. They have a very good deal where you buy 2 bottles and get 3 free. For what I paid for one bottle at GNC you could get 3 bottle via this website. My daughter was not able to tolerate the taste or the size of the pills (she was 11 when we tried them) so we had to give up. Clomipramine is working for her, but I would much rather have her on a natural supplement than a psychoactive medication if it would work for her. According to the U of Minn study, it helped 56% of people in the trial, so I think it's definitely worth trying. Good luck, and keep us posted!

katielynn08-Yep, as long as it's NAC you are getting the right product.

az314-I'm glad the anafranil is working for your daughter. I was on it as a teen and it gave me horrendous headaches and then I just got depressed;not the effect they were hoping for. *lol*

alexandriteprincess-How much of the NAC are you taking daily? How long did it take for you to first notice a difference?

I have been taking NAC for about 4 months and it really makes a world of difference. It is really helping. You should try it and good luck with it.

thank you guys. i just noticed the replies today from all of you. this may be surprising to you, but the taste doesnt affect me because i dont notice a taste. the only time i smell it is if i put my nose to the bottle, and man...thats gross. LOL. but its working. i dont have many urges now. im only taking 1 at night with dinner and thats it.
