Transgender Support Group
This community is here to support and help the large population of transgender people. If you or anyone you know identify as transgender, this is the place to share your feelings and experiences and speak with others who are going through similar things in their lives.
Since we live contrary lives where every step we take before we decide to act on our desires has been met with opposition, it is quite normal to feel the way you feel.
We can change that negative perspective by simply being grateful that finally our journey has begun and make the best of it. As if obstacles do appear, we can stay positive by seeing them as opportunities instead of problems.
We need to remain positive and everything else will follow, I learned that the hard way, for decades I was stuck and once i realized I was the one keeping me stuck, my life changed dramatically.
To be sure, I did encounter opposition and some problems but since I no longer saw them as a communist plot out to do me in, the difficulties became much easier to deal with and I was more open to learning from them.
There is a saying, "When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change" Wayne Dyer. I can tell you, he was absolutely right.
Hope this helps,
Wolf (FTM since 1987)
There likely will be rough days, and great days, as hormones take some adjusting to - but it will all be worth it.
