is it possible to be a trans Christian?

My fiance and I are spiritual but not religious due to the fact that the Christian faith here in Alabama ALL seem like conservative Republican bullies. In school, I was always taught that religion and politics were never supposed to mix in the government. The further along as I transition I have more and more questions about religion but I don't know where to go to seek answers since I feel the bible is contradictory and preachers are bigot con artists. I was always taught that god loves everyone. It's almost like the trans community is being persecuted again like the holocaust. My question is this...is possible to be transgender and religious?

Treating doctors that are within the lgbtqi community, keep religion, and trans gender care are separate.

Edit: you can still be religious, but it depends on the type of church and their beliefs, is the church trans gender-friendly?

I was part of a Bible based cult, so I could tell you stories that would make your hair curl... But ultimately I have learned as I healed from that experience, you have to define your own beliefs and if that is part of another community of believers you need the core beliefs to co-inside, and MOST "Christian" believers are blind to the truth Christ preached, he healed and meet the needs of many including prostitutes and adulterers, it was the religious he preached to the most, others he enguraged that God loved them....

So you tell me, do you want a relationship with God or a church, do let others define your belief,if it's about your sexual identity or your relationship with God...

God - whatever name you call the entity - loves us all. Churches are HUMAN constructs, and thus suffer HUMAN failings.

You can be religious without attending a church.

Any written word was written and interpreted by a HUMAN, for a particular purpose. This includes the various holy books. Most of those have since been edited repeatedly, for various reasons. Again, by HUMANS.

HUMANS have failings, it's part of being HUMAN.

So, you can be religious without a church, you can be trans and religious, and SOMETIMES you can find a church that follows the guidance of God's love and welcomes everyone. I haven't found one, and have stopped looking. I have my beliefs, I don't need a church.

Yes, God loves all of God's children and it is very, very possible to be a trans Christian. If you can't find a church, be a follower of Jesus on your own. It is possible although not always easy to do that on your own without a community of followers. I'm on the west coast in the Episcopal church where we have trans clergy. It is a very inclusive atmosphere. If you are interested in exploring that denomination, I suggest contacting your local diocese headquarters and asking them if there is a congregation in your area that has a trans community, or especially inclusive to trans people. I would hope they would have some ideas for you. My best to you!

It took me near a lifetime but I discovered G-d's truth. Yes He really does love transgender people and has from the beginning.
