I dont know what to do

ok so im out to everyone at school as trans with my new name and pronouns etc...but there happens to be just a couple of dudes that call me my birthname and pronouns and im very sure they dont know im trans and like i  dont know how to correct them or of even theyll respect me when if i do correct them i dont know what to do..

if you feel safe enough, next time they call you that just say 'hey actually i go by ____ now' or 'i'm trans and i actually changed my name, i don't use ____ anymore'.

if they laugh or disrespect you, i mean.. that's harder to answer. i would refer to them with the wrong names and pronouns until it clicked in their brains how dumb they are (i don't advise that though lol). you could just ignore them, you could tell them off, tell a teacher, get their parents involved, etc.

i think if everyone else is treating you well though, that the chances are those guys will too. even if they're dicks at first, if no one is backing them up, they'll stfu sooner.

i'm really sorry if this isn't helpful, as i'm actually not out to anyone irl and i'm not positive about how to handle this situation really.

Give these dudes a little time. When they hear others refer to you with your preferred pronoun(s), they should get a clue and start doing the same. If they don't have clue, don't be afraid to politely correct them. If they refuse, then it is best to try and ignore them, which can be difficult at times. I wish you the best, and stay true to yourself!
