From the moment I began transitioning, it came as a shock to the hospital and the staff, when I was rolled into the e r (emergency room) but this time, I was dressed up full time in women clothing. I was so upset how the hospital staff kept using "male" pronouns on me, reguarding my biological name, but after a recent hospital walk in at the e r, now its becoming a little clear to me. The hospital staff has no other choice than to address me using "male" pronous, reguarding the biological name on my birth certficate, until the day I walk into the e r and show the staff the court papers, that legally shows my name change to Rhonda, including my gender status to female. The hospital claims that they are only following guidlines to address me by my biological name, since it is the "male" name on my birth certificate, and on my insurance documentations. The hospital staff has no other choice to address me by my biological name, not to cause confussion between the day and night time shifting staff, which might be looking for a "male" paitent, but see me female, waiting in the room.
