One thing I noticed after I was on hormones, when I passed the baby stuff in WalMart I all of a sudden wanted a baby where as before I didn't. So I guess motherly feelings will be one of the effects. IDK about other t-women so I can't really say if it's common or not.

Hmm that's really interesting! There are already some things I see at stores and would like to have that I never would have wanted before. Would like to see how you feel when changing a diaper lol. But maybe hormones would change my mind on that too

Physical:

you might start to notice is softening of the skin, followed by decrease in hair growth. There may be decrease in muscle tone. Breast development might start to happen, which will need to wear a bra, as things start to progress over time. Widening at the hips might start to happen.

Emotional:
I personally, always been a person that would cry easily, way before I started HRT, and so you might experience empathy, or being more sensitive toward people's feelings, this includes watching TV programs or movies that are intense.

Mentally:

Way before I started HRT, I always thought about having a baby, and so, you might experience urge of wanting to have a baby.
You might experience the need to clean.

Overall:

Experts suggested to me, that hormones are more effective at a younger age in life, when allowed to take them before puberty starts, so since I started late then it has little or no effect on my voice.

Well thank you Rhonda, some of those physical changes I didn't know. And lately, even without being on hormones I've been crying more than I have in years. As for the baby, I've always wanted one too. Well not always, but the mindset to have children in the future has always been there. And while I'm a little messy, I do try and stay organized and clean. Or at least have a clean appearance.

go for a weight of less than 250 i way 162 i think im fat lol always have i dont eat right or enough im malnutrined and bloated all the time work dosent help lol just a thought

I don't know how tall you are, but I'm 6'2. I believe a weight around 220 is the ideal weight for someone like me. So I'm shifting to 250 just because hormones throw your weight around a little. Plus, I'm not trying to look like real skinny or anything.

But you don't know what I'd give to weigh 162 lol

my highet is like 5'6 lol im short and i walk 7 miles every night at work never sit down and eat like a pig and still stay at 162 and work my arms out big time :D i love the guy i am

Definitely try and reach your weigh goal before the hormones. It feels near impossible now that I am on the Estradiol combined with other medications. Completely different from when having the testosterone flowing through me.

As for me I was not attracted to men at all and now with the hormones that has completely changed LOL. Yes and baby stuff, WOAH just the overwhelming desire to be a mother is intense.

As far as the hormones I did not start the Estradiol for a year, but after three months in therapy I was put on Spironolactone. Even then the feeling of being closer to who I really was all along is immediate. :D

Hmm well I've got 25 pounds left to go before I reach my target weight, but will try my best after that to keep losing. I just finished my second months at therapy. I'm thinking that if I find a doctor who can prescribe me hormones, then I can talk with my therapist about it and she may write me my note.

But that's pretty incredible that it brings up new feelings and can change your mind. Actually kinda worries me lol but it'll all be for the best :) Thank you so much!
