I remember when I was in elementary school, my friends (a gaggle of girls as my mom used to call us. I don't think she included me in that phrase but I didn't have one male friend until I was in 6th grade.) and I used to roleplay (or something like that) Sailor Moon during recess. When we were each choosing a character off of that show, my friends insisted that I had to be one of the male characters (Mainly tuxedo mask if I remember the name correctly. the one who always had roses.) I told them that I wanted to be Sailor Venus because I was not like the male characters.

I didn't learn until I was a junior in high school (in a Gay Straight Alliance meeting) that it was possible for somebody to express a different gender than the sex they were born as, but I knew as early as elementary school that I was not the same as the other boys.

I do not know if this will fall under this catagory or not but most of my life I would hear people tell me that I was a special person.For what reason I did not know. I would have sex with them but they always felt that they were having sex with a female. They never told me I guess they did not want to hurt my feelings. Until my girlfriend that I fell in love with explained to me when she come out of the blue and told me that I special.. I wanted to get sick. I asked her why was she telling me that I was special. she explained to me that everytime we made love to each other she felt like she was making love to another woman. My girlfriend at that time was bi-sexual. I asked her was it a bad thing or a good thing and her reply was a good thing and went on telling me that she never felt so aroused when having sex. to her it was having sex with a man and a woman at the same time being with one person. my touch and softness was as gentle as woman but to feel me come inside of her (sorry for the graphics) was the highlight of her body aroused with sheer delight. To which she started dressing me up like a woman and I was enjoying everymoment of it..to her she said that I was a natural even though she got mad at me that I could walk in 6" heels and she could not..At that moment I knew what was missing in mylife like I found my missing link

Well, between those ages ranges, my mom did most of my clothes shopping in the boys department, although I didnt like wearing them, it just didnt feel right.

When I was little I used to trade toys with my sister and play with barbies while she played with my "boy" toys. Another thing was that I always went to the womens restroom until my mom literally forced me out when I was like 12. Looking back I think that was when I realized I was different.

Most of my memories of being younger were of just not fitting in.
I think I was probably about 12 when I started to really notice mom's clothes, but...due to the family situation at that time (physically abusive stepfather) and having to move around all the time, the message was clear -- "The femme self must be buried'
A shame....because I wasted a lot of time getting to this point when I could have been here long ago.

To be honest i never really had one particular memory, as to me girls things and playing with dolls wearing dresses, i thought was natural when i was young, only to be told off for god knows what, i always thought, i just remeber being extremely jealous of my sister becuase she had everything i wanted at xmas and birthdays, and what made it worse, was she was a tom boy and she didnt appreciate such gifts, so i wud be angry that she had the oppertunity to have all amazing stuff and she wouldnt use it!!!

well i remember when i was about 8 or so i would sneak in my sisters room and grab her dresses and hang out in them till i was tired or my mom or step dad would come around but that was not much seein as how they drank most nights and almost never at home so i would just dance around in those dresses and pretend i was a princes lol.....
