Transgender Support Group
This community is here to support and help the large population of transgender people. If you or anyone you know identify as transgender, this is the place to share your feelings and experiences and speak with others who are going through similar things in their lives.
The people here are good folk, that you can confide in. :] Enjoy your stay.
First of all, you are never alone, you have lots of people who can support you and help you, especially me. :) Could you tell us more about you, are you an FTM or an MTF, and how long have you been dealing with your transgender? Are we the first people you have come out to, or are there others in your local life?

I am an MTF who hasn't transitioned yet because I don't got the money to. But I know in my heart I am female and thats all that matters. Glad to here things are going well, sounds like maybe your mother is accepting, which is good.
But your not alone, don't ever say that, were to help you every step of the way. :)

In my case at least, it seemed the correct hormones adjusted a chemical imbalance in my brain(according to the treating doctors) which kicked the depression right out.
Once you get on hormones, give it some time - things will feel a bit up-and-down for a while, but as you get adjusted to the correct for you levels of the right for you hormones, it should improve - including the depression. I am NOT saying this is a "magic cure", because it may not work for everyone - because we are all different, and feel the effects of hormones differently, within certain ranges. But , it could help with the depression by correcting an underlying condition.
Just remember, it takes time for the hormones to work, and for your body to adapt to the changes in hormones.
As for feeling alone,... I didn't know until I was 45 that there WERE other people who felt trapped in the wrong gendered body - and I had known since I was 3 years old that I was. I had been told I was crazy, insane, multiple personality disorder, the works - when I was simply transgender. When I discovered there really are others who also share this condition, I finally had hope. I wasn't crazy, or alone in the world. There ARE others. Sites like this one prove it.
You're not alone.
