Has anyone ever heard of deep brain stimulation? Thats the procedure that was preformed on him. While he was awake!

Yes - I've seen on TV where they've done it to only a few severe Tourette's patients. They mostly use it on Parkinson's patients, because it's not FDA approved yet for tourette's. I asked my son's neurologist about it, and she said he wouldn't qualify for it because it's still an experimental procedure, and he would have to be ticcing severely and all the time. He is able to supress his tics when he's in public, although it's difficult. I know that some kids have such bad physical tics, that they hurt or injure themselves. Someone like that may qualify.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus).
