failed treatment

May I know if there is anyone from the group who had a splint installed that did not work? If so what alternative did you take?

Zenie their are many types of splints......night splints (mouth guards ) , repositioning splints, ect......
What type of splint did you have? What do you mean by failed? What are your symptoms and do you know the state of your joints, meaning have you had an MRI or ct scan?

I use nightguards, day guards and eating guards. They might try to tell you that its more painful because its healing. That is NOT true. If you put a mouthguard in that is eventually painful take it out! It may cause you more damage. If the treatment is working you will feel better instamtly not worse.
