Temporomandibular joint disorder, or TMJ syndrome, is an acute or chronic inflammation of the temporomandibular joint, which connects the lower jaw to the skull. The disorder and resultant dysfunction can result in significant pain and impairment.
Have you spoken to your tmj dentist about the pain - what did they say.
I would say that it is something that cant be guessed at, but mostly definitely something has happened.
Have you seen Dr. Piper?
Have you spoken about this with your tmj dentist???
The weird thing with all of this is that I do not have pain per say, it's more of an ache when I eat/talk. Also when I wake up in the morning after wearing my night guard I feel great, it's when I take it out and eat/talk that it starts to ache. I am taking no medication for this problem but I am really worried that it will lead to something worse. Right now it's just one day at a time and eating soft.
I would love thoughts on what could be wrong though so that I can mention it to my doctor. I'm guessing something might be wrong with my disc, I'm just praying that if it that my body will adjust to it, who knows though.
