A few days ago my doctor gave me a prescription of Trileptal in a 150 to 300MG dose 2 times a day. With my first dose of 150MG I notice a reduction in the volume of my tinnitus. On the scale of 1 to 10 it hovered between a 2 and 5. The next day I upped the dosage to 300MG. So far I have been happy with the results. In the last two days my T has been hanging between a 1 and 5 range. Thats pretty good but here is what is really odd. It doesn't bother me nearly as much. The anxiety and panic my T gives me is mostly gone. The Trileptal doesnt knock my T out of the park like my Klonopin Gabapentin combo but the Klonopin never actually helped with my anxiety.

I searched and I havent found any information on Trileptal being used to treat tinnitus. It's used to treat epilepsy and it's used as a mood stabilizer. It also has the side effect of lowering sodium in the body which I think might be a good thing for tinnitus.
