So just be very careful because there is no cure, but there are many imposter's out there willing to take your money, and give you great hope, and I'm not saying to give into it either, but try not to make a stand on any one drug for any great length of time, because they can have some detrimental side effects, once their benefits begin to wear off. 0.5 mg of conazapam, and 300mgs, of gabapentin at night.
I relate to what you say about being driven mad by the ringing.I sit watching tv or sometimes when trying to sleep and the ringing in both ears is driving you crazy. My doc has been no good neither was the hospital. No meds or suggestions offered. What I have come up with though is if you are trying to sleep imagine two volume controls one per ear and turn them down and keep resetting them until the noise dies right down. This really work for me and hopefully will help you too.
Best Wishes
2nd thing I do everyday is mask my tinnitus. Read up on masking your tinnitus and it just might help you. I would be lost without it. Bottom line is you need to get back to a normal sleep cycle.
I don't think being on two seizure meds is really bad for you depending on what they are and dosage. Many people here take Klonopin (and anti-seizure but also anti-anxiety med) and gabapentin (anti-seizure) together to lower their T without problem.
Getting good sleep is important. I take melatonin AND Ambien in order to get 7-8 hours, usually solid (but not always). Still, better than the 4 I used to get on nothing!
Best wishes to you!!
