Thank you MandieGrace. I say this because you continue and continue to contribute here and help so many of the newcomers and veterans in distress. This community needs a stable, experienced presence. So many come by, stay for a time and move on (which is hopefully adaptation to chronic affliction).
But why go away if you have something helpful to say? An answer to this is that the more I'm in the company of misery the more I'm miserable. Another answer is that I'm no longer bothered so why should I bother? Another answer is that I've answered all this before to the best of my ability, why keep repeating myself. Another answer might be that of total despair and why bring others down.
At the risk of using too many words that MandieGrace sometimes does I want to say thank you MandieGrace. I admire that you continue to respond very well to mostly the same questions and concerns for several years now. Thanks for picking up the slack that others here (including myself) ought to be doing.
After severe tinnitus I would read Galatians and read that a fruit of the Spirit was "peace". This seemed like a mockery by God to tinnitus afflicted. How wrong I was and I cannot not explain why I did not intentionally accidentally fall off a roof four years ago and why severe tinnitus hardly bothers me today.

" Name A Term Used In Football " ?
I'm going into my 3rd calendar year of having T, the thought of which makes me want to settle nicely and comfortably into habituation. There's really nothing new for my mind to pay attention to, which is a good thing, and something that makes habituation much easier. So I'm free to move on with my practically normal life.
And John, thank you too as I've wanted a bullet to my head more than once since T but I'm hanging in there and it makes me feel better that someday this thought will be out of my head altogether.

I have ran into people here who said they are going to end it all - one day I said it out loud to my husband and I spent 10 days in a psych ward - there - people sobbed and paced the floors - and I did the same - I was the only one with tinnitus -
They drugged me into a stupor and told me it would be naughty to kill myself.
Well, I got out and came home and in the fetal position sobbed to God to fix me.
The tinnitus remains to this day - but I don't want to kill myself -
I am so thankful you guys are still in this with me - and no one did the deed.
Thanks so much for supporting - I believe my faith got me through this.
Hoping for the cure in 2011 - Hope is the last to die.
