Today I tried Gabapentin (200MG) with Klonopin (.5MG) and it took my Level 5 T (out of 10) down to Level 1 and even for a bit, Level 0. This is my first try, so I will keep you posted. I will also have to see how well it works on a Level 8-10 T day.
BTW, that dose (granted it was my first time) kept my T at a Level 1 for 11 hours! I actually went to vote without my ipod in playing pink masking noise. : )
My view on T is that just as there are about a thousand causes for it, there may well be as many treatments that help/work--depending on the individual.

I had an opportunity to speak with my ENT's office regarding this drug combination and interaction. The MD would not prescribe it for me, as he did not at all adhere to the possible reaction that I may have from the interaction of these two drugs. Everyone reacts differently to the medication and he did not want to chance me with it.
Additionally, I noted that the article was dated in 2002. Has there been any additional trials regarding this and if so have the results become universally acceptable.
Thanks so very much again for the information. I do appreciate it.
One friend of mine had his tinnitus (from Meniere's) go away from taking about 10 flights in 2 weeks and some anecdotal stuff from Germany supports this with hyperbaric chamber treatments for T, so I've even looked into HBOT, too.
So, I don't think many of us here are WAITING for clinical trials to try stuff, but as you well know in your profession, clinical trials can be a little more accurate in helping determine quantity and frequency, like the Xanax, Klonopin/Gabapentin, and Campral studies. However, a pot clinical trial would have been helpful in a special way: since pot is currently an illegal substance, if the trial was successful, pot could have been released to T suffers easily and legally for medicinal purposes and covered by insurance...and young moms, middle-aged women (like me), community leaders, old people, etc., wouldn't have to go down to 1st and.Main after church and ask around for someone to sell them some pot, or ask around their friends and acquaintances for a "connection," lol. : ) (Unfortunately, though, while many on here say alcohol helps to some degree, no one I've seen has said pot has helped their T except to relax them/lower stress.)
So far the combo (but neither alone, tho I know Klono alone helps a lot of T people) helped me great the first time, not much at all the second time, and only moderately the third time. (I only take it when my T is really bad.) As you can tell from my response to SteveDad, I'm willing to try all sorts of things, clinical studies or no, lol. (I used "or no" just for you, Attester--Chicago lingo. I use it down here and they look at me funny, lol.) ; )
