Hello again,
First I would like to thank everyone for being so supportive and also know that I have read your your posts, and try to give support when I feel I can, but of course my experties are not in the field of T, as you know.
As I have stated, my more intense T was first noticed by me upon awaking in the middle of the night a few weeks ago, then it went away for a few weeks, but came back. I have always had a lesser T, to some degree for many years.
Since it has came back it is a set pattern to be present in both ears every morning when I wake up, as well as upon awaking up after a nap. I did receive a reply from a few members that happens to them too.
The ring is not the same type of ring that I have through out the day in my ears, which is a on and off again hiss/ring. However it is a steady hummm/ring, such as the type of humm/hiss/ring one might experience in their ears when they are very tired, or after being in at a loud event.
After I am up approx one hour, the morning or after nap hiss/ring slowly settles down, then that humm/ring turns to the more mild on off again ring through out the day.
My ringing in the morning or day is not a pulsate ring or swishing sound in my ears, which I read could indicate blood pressure, or tumor.
I plan to purchase those books today, in hopes of finding what the cause could be for my ears to ring louder upon awaking.
I suspect possibly ones body chemistry might change? Blood flow might change? Do any of you know?
My seocnd question is this, in regard to the Hydrochlorothiazide, that was prescribed to me for my high BP. I feel I should try it, since my doctor did prescribe it, and he will be upset with me if I do not at least try it.
I am getting anxious knowing I need to go back to him, already telling him once I did not take it. Or possibly would it be best for me just to ask for a different BP pill?
But, since it is known to cause T., I wonder if any of you might know how soon after I take it would I most likely know if it will make my already present T., worse? Also, if it does couse my T to become worse, will the chances of my T., going back to this stage be a good one. I don't want to end up with worse T.
I understand everyones T varies, as well as treatments vary, but thought possilby some of you might have some insight on my questions.
As you can see I am procrastinating on doing much of anything! But doing a good job of much worry about what my T is from, am I doomed with some serious disease, will it go away, what should I eat, not eat, morings are scarey knowing my ears will be ringing loud, then the other medical factor my BP, and taking the Hydrolchlorothizide. My PB is still up and down.
Thanks and God Bless
Pattylyn
Ps...Great wind gusts here in WNY last night and again today, YIKES!
I hope none of you were in the path of distruction from the terrible storms passing through yesterday.

If a prescription is known to cause T, then I would challenge the doctor for some more credible information regarding it. Proceed with caution!
I have always found that there are not that many doctors that are really current or knowledgeable regarding tinnitus. Shop around and you will eventually find one and go to a specialist.
Good news is it works. Brought my BP back to normal and it's been that way for over 10 years. Was at the Doc 2 weeks ago and my BP was again very normal. I have had zero side effects from the drug. No ringing either. So that's my side of the story. High BP can indeed cause tinnitus.
Maybe by taking the drug and it lowers your BP it might ease your tinnitus. If I should miss my daily dose sometimes my T is louder the next day. Hope this info helps! John
In regard to the H....(yes it is a long word) I am going to just try it, and hope for the best!
I was pondering on telling the doctor I tried it and it made my ears ring worse. However I am not to good at being dishonest.
Mabye it will not make my ears ring, and maybe it will lower my BP. Just as it has worked for better and for worse for folks here. But I won't know unless I try it right?
The ringing after waking up....hummmm so odd, I still would like to know the reasons.
Yikes my power is flickering, with this huge wind storm. I thought my ringing was at bay today, but wondering if the huge wind storm noise is maksing it. It does appeart to be better though...Rejoice a good day.. I am glad I have one thing positive to report since it does state to be positive on this forum.
Thanks again everyone and yes John it did help, and others comments were supportive and helpful too.
Have a nice day.
