Remissions and Flare ups/input please

Hi Folks,
Well, I had a good streach as I stated in my other post, my T started in March with loud hissing, then would slightly decrease during the day, but it was always there and noticable for the first two months.
Then, slowly I noticed I was not thinking about my T as much, and the past 6 weeks my T appeared to be getting better, or I was getting used to it. I could not really tell for sure.
I did not completely rid of of my T., since I still awoke with it every morning, some mornings though it was not even bad. I was not jumping in the shower to seconds after I was up for relief.
I still had the slight "normal" buzz, that I think I always had. But the WONDERFUL thing was often during the day and at night I hardly had any thoughts of my T., it was truly at bay! Or I was very very very good at "getting used to! (chuckle)
However, unfortunately last Thursday I woke up, and I just felt "off." Then my left ear rang really loud, but not for long. Sort of like the "normal" persons occasional ring.
Then I noticed both my ears just seemd to be more buzzy, hissing, than usual.
Hoping this was just going to be a short lived happening, I tried not to get to very upset, and decided to carry on with my busy day and maybe it would be gone with soon.
But that did not happen, all day I was bothered by the on and off off again hiss/ring/buzz..and by night time it was still an excisting annoyance!
I was angry, upset, I had the same fears again and the feeling of hopelessness.
Do to this noticable flare up, I do believe now that my T was vastly improving, more so than me just "getting used to it."
Now it has been 5 days since the flare up and the right ear has not let up with the low to loud hissing, its not steady, but the on again off again is enough to drive me nuts.
Sometimes both the ears ring, its well you know, a big mixture of not really knowing what noise is going to come about, or in what ear, how loud, when it will let up. It a bit worse again in the morning too.
As when I first had the sudden onset of T, in march I almost feel ill, as if the rining is a sign of illness, rather than a disorder.
Isn't that odd? Can any of you relate to this ordeal?
I can assume the remission to my T., to my change of diet, all healthy foods, losing weight, increase of Vitamin D, since I was very low, reading all lables to make sure I have decreased salt, I eat no salt products, my BP is now low, lower dose of aspirin daily, walking daily, and trying to be much more healthy, Doctors stating it is not serious, and your support here.
What I can't figure out what caused the flare up, out of the blue.
I did have a stressful week of heart palpitations, before the flare, but have had heart palpitations in the past. They also come and go sort of like my T., All my cardio test are fine.
But hey, life has ups and downs, right? I feel my trying to pin point my T. and now its flares are frusterating as well has hard to determine.
Yes at first of course it's realistic to try to determine the cause of T., if it is ear related, or otherwise, or a serious infection or tumor. But, when is it good to just say. Oh Well, what ever!????
I suppose I was truly hoping that my good efforts by being healthy was contibuting to my reduced T., and that T would not cause dismay in my life ever again.
I do think I feel better otherwise of course, so I plan on continuing on with good healthy eating life style.
But here I am thinking about my darn annoying T., hearing it, it bothers me, I fear it might get worse, wondering what it's from, why it got worse again. Errrr, I am upset!
But, then it could be a good sign that it did improve for 6 weeks and not get worse day by day, right?
I would like to hear of your experiences with remissions and flares, or your input on the topic.
I did go to church yesterday, and noted one thing the pastor said, it was a passage from the bible. "Press on" even when things seem difficult.
Well, I guess I am going to listen to that message.
I said a prayer for all of us for relief, and content days, even if we live with this disorder.
Thanks for your support.

Congrats on doing such a wonderful job in reducing the annoyance and curse of this dreaded noise. You have taken great strides to understand your triggers and please take great pride in your accomplishments to date.
Apparently, you had a setback with the t. This can be expected. Please understand that it is all a part in your recovery from t. T is as unique as fingerprint for each of us and it's is always best to be your own best advocate.
I am on the long road towards recovery, with occasional setbacks. Most likely they have occurred due to increase stress or I evoke a trigger, such as a high sodium food. Love pizza, Sorry.
It is more likely then not, that the spike in your t is related to your stressful week. I am in the middle of such an event, and my t is up, but slowly returning to normal. For me relaxation techniques work well. I am sorry that I did not use it during the stressful period. Having said that, the very best stress buster, is the distraction technique. If you distract yourself from listening to the t, preferable with something you really enjoy, the sooner you will be feeling at least as good as before the spike. It might take a couple of days of volatile t. Best to relax as much as possible and not feed t any anxiety, it so sorely craves for.
"Press on", and the message was for you. Wish you well.
I can surely relate to your frustrations. My T varies from day to day. I never know what mine is going to do nor do I know for sure what is causing what! I am in menopause and my ringing started the same month I had my last period, but I also have a bulging disc at C5-C6 in my neck that can cause it, and my neuro says I have migraines, and I came off a medication the same month my T started. Ive been to umpteen doctors thinking I was ill or had a disease with no results. I was thinking tumor and the neuro said she didnt feel the need for a CT or MRI because I wasnt exhibiting the symptoms that would come from a tumor and she did thorough testing. So....I have had to accept the T, and do my best to accept it, reduce my stress, recognize that I have no direct control over it to the extent that I can only do what I can do to help it such as exercise, diet, keep stress down. I quit trying to figure it out and practice one day at a time and be mindful to stay in the moment.
I'm wondering if your body was fighting some virus or bug that you didn't have any symptoms from because you are now so healthy, but it affected your T?
I have no cold, or virus of any type, so contriubting the set back to an illness is slim.
It appears to just come and go when it pleases, for know good reason.
Still, mornings my T it at its peak. Nice thing to wake up too right?
I still have no clue why after napping, sleeping, and upon awakening my T is so very very loud!
Somebody must know what makes T, worse in the morning for me, or after awakening???? I find it hard to believe nobody knows what might cause that, but nobody seems to be able to give me a reason for this.
Now, lately I also have on and off, what I call "hissing" in both ears.
My ears hummm as my usual T, then all of a sudden I get a very loud hiss, like a radio being tuned in...volume goes from soft to loud quickly too. Like ssssSSSSssssSSSS, then it stops, only to come back. On off on off, drive me NUTS!
I feel upset with this today, as you might have noticed. Nothing helps it, nothing covers it up, its just here with me not matter what I do...I try to keep busy, but that tires me out, when I know deep inside I am running running to escape from the noise in my ears, but I am still hearing it.
I must look crazy, again I often plug my ears, thinking it might be gone...it might let up for a bit, but only comes back to haunt me.

I have spoken to one of the great research person's about t. This researcher was quite intrigue by all the mysteries of t. It has been noted that the sound may originate in the limbic and auditory system of the brain. The sound may be intensified when these area are agitated or distressed and then the noise can subside with lower turbulence within these systems. This may be the cause for the intermittent state of t.
It appears that both the conscious and unconscionable mind has a reflection upon t. During the conscious state, we are completely aware of our t and are taking some necessary precautions to alleviate the worst symptoms. ie. Watching as to what we eat to avoid a trigger or a spike such as in sodium or MSG, handling stress in a reasonable matter, and using distractions. But upon a nap or a night's sleep the unconscionable mind is in control, providing dreams which in itself may cause anxiety triggering a stimulation of those areas of the brain therefore leading to higher and some case intrusive t. The thought might occur that to reduce the intensity of any difficult morning, is to find a way to get more soothing and peaceful sleep at night. Therefore, this may occur with the preparation of a very relaxed state of mind the evening before. The various relaxation techniques ranging from breathing exercise to distractions such as reading or something enjoyable may play a large role in getting the desired restful and peaceful sleep which will lead to a healthier AM. This will also reduce the need for any nap, which usually allows the unconscious mind to take charge for a brief moment, midday.
Based on this thinking, the day really begins with the relaxation techniques the evening prior. There is no guarantee that this or any method may assist you, but it has provided some relief for me. It's always best to be your own best advocate.
Wish you to be well.
