Is anyone here famaliar with "Tinnitus Phase Out System" ?
I looked into this last year and emailed several times the Tinnitus Control Center,Inc in New York and received an automated response to the effect of... "you will be contacted shortly", but I was never contacted at all.
The reason I bring this up is that the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis is conducting a clinical study/trial on this "Phase Out Therapy." This University has and is conducting several tinnitus studies and clinical trials including rTMS. It seems encouraging that this study is being done. Tinnitus Phase-Out System for the Relief of Idiopathic Subjective Tinnitus
Tinnitus Control, Inc. has developed an innovative, non-invasive, FDA-cleared technique for treating predominant-tone tinnitus called the Tinnitus Phase-Out System. Clinical research has shown that it can provide continuous, on-going relief from annoying tinnitus symptoms, in many cases for up to a full week or more. According to Tinnitus Control, this novel treatment has, in its initial studies, been found efficacious in approximately 80% of patients with a residual inhibitory effect of up to a week or more following each half-hour session.
There are three Specific Aims to this project:
To explore the effectiveness of the Tinnitus Phase-Out System therapy for patients with predominant-tone tinnitus.
To assess the safety of Tinnitus Phase-Out System therapy for tinnitus.
To generate preliminary data to be used in the design of a methodologically sound placebo-controlled clinical trial of the Tinnitus Phase-Out System for predominant-tone tinnitus.
This will be an open-label study of the impact of 12 treatment sessions with the Tinnitus Phase-Out System device over 4 weeks on 7 adult patients, between the ages of 18 and 70, with predominant-tone tinnitus. Preliminary treatment effectiveness will be assessed by comparing scores on standard tinnitus severity questionnaires in addition to the measurement of change in dB on the loudness matching, before and after study treatment.

Thats a first for me. I've not heard of "Phase Out". It seems it's more effective on those with more "tone" type tinnitus which is most of us I'd imagine.
It's encouraging to see any and all research. Sorry I dont have anything on this treatment
I don't know about these studies, but I am an alumnus of the University so I'll find out! Some of the best research in the world is done there!
