Menieres usually shows up with a low frequency non conductive hearing loss and dizziness. wikapedia has a nice write up on it.

I would consider seeking out another (credible) physician and hopefully you could get a few referrals. Two years is a long time.

How do you know if you have menieres disease? Is this something that an ENT picks up on right away? I do have fullness in my ears and dizziness at times and wonder if I have Menieres. I did see an ENT a few years ago and they didn't say Anything was wrong like this, but I am just wondering how they know. I stopped seeing him as he wasn't helpful.

I have meniere's. My symptoms include nystagimous, vertigo, tinnitus, fullness/pressure in my bad ear and low frequency hearing loss. Fortunately the vertigo and dizzy attacks are all but gone now.
There are tests such as ENG, ABR, ECOG etc... that should eliminate other possibilites. I also had MRI and other dizzy tests, BP etc....
Not everybody is the same though as symptoms may vary.

Note: meniere's is quite rare(1 in 2500) so your symptoms may be due to something else.

I went to Shea Clinic in Memphis (well known internationally) and had lots of testing. This is what they came up with. I have ringing and hyperacusis and used to have dizziness but that has gone for the moment. You need a better ENT.

I didn't know meniere's was so rare per Ozgreg?
My darn ENT was too busy skipping work to babysit his kids and thought mine was due to my BP spiking...which it can be but wasn't as it ended up being meniere's...It took my audiologist who seems to really know our ears better, to first make the diagnosis due to my fluctuating hearing before most of it went...I wish the doctor's would take it more seriously as I've read that with some drugs-gambetin? or antivirals, that it has saved some people's hearing if they catch it early enough!
Be assertive which I know is hard when U aren't feeling well or take someone with you! Best of luck...
