My 40 yr. old daughter has been having symptoms of loud crickets and at times worse with vertigo and nausea; they say it is Menier's. It started with tinnitus; how many of you also have this diagnosis; and any suggestions would be appreciated ,as her everyday life has greatly changed. Thank you

i'm sorry about your daughter. Did you check to see if there is a meineres group? I can't imagine having that, tinnitus is hell on it's own. I hope she gets better soon, or at least used to her new "normal".

No need at all to be sorry, I just think you might find more help for meineres in that group because as far as I know there are only a few, one I can think of, that actually have meineres. Hope you find some help, we can't really offer much help with tinnitus other than understanding:(

I DO HAVE BOTH AND THERE IS A GOOD MENIERE'S GROUP HERE, LOOKING ON BOTH CAN REALLY HELP BUT I WOULD, TAKE HER TO A ENT IF YOU HAVEN,T ALL READY AND START THERE, I TAKE XANX AND IT HELPS BOTH , ALL SO LOW SODIUM DIET, SLEEPING WITH 3 PILLOWS THESE ARE THINGS THAT HELP ME, GOOD LUCK, YOUR IN THE RIGHT [PLACE. One thing to add...well ok a couple.

I had been seen by about 11 specialists with similar circumstances.... but they could not pin it down as i didnt "fit the bill" totally.

I have tinnitus myself...I also had dizzy symptoms where I could not get up out of bed for almost 5 months except to do trivial things...and that just barely....holding walls to make it to the shower and everything....wuuf...just thinking about it again lol

Now I am finding out that much of this may have came down to being reactive hypoglycemic and allergic to gluten... if you look up the symptoms they are almost identical and there is not much information out there (except recently) in the medical field about gluten allergies.

I have been able to change my nutrition intake and it has helped wonderfully. (look up Paleo Nutrition) I had to stop eating all wheats, processed sugars, and anything that has gluten in it. It has been transforming.

In fact the nutritional specialist I am seeing now...has actually has had great results with those that have meiners disease of making their life livable again.
