I see that many of you meditate to help your T. How do you learn to meditate and how does it work with ringing..buzzing,etc going on in your head and/or ears?

You may want to checkout self hypnosis. It's almost the same thing as meditation but you would use some kind of noise or recording that acts as a distraction.

I love to meditate. It is very hard to do with this punishing noise going 24/7. I found a few meditation groups in my area. Some are completely free of monetary influence, others not so. If there is no money involved it is usually religiously infuenced, but usually not heavily. Check around on your local craigslist. You might find a group near you. Thats how I found some. Also if you google "how to meditate" you will find lots of info. It is very hard to do with tinnitus, but it does help alot to do it.

I wish I could meditate but can't because of the distraction. Reading and listening to birds and crickets chirping soothes me. Also a fan on.

Try to find a yoga class. The combination of the exercise and meditation is especially good.

Im ready to start...
