I Haven't been here for a while, It's been 10 months since I woke up early a.m. with T...I have good times and bedtimes, the first 3 months were very difficult, lot of fluctuations and having Hyperacusis makes it worse, BUT to all newbies out there...it does get better with time, I now work full time, I hear my T all the time but most of the time I just don't care about it, it is louder when I first started, having been careless in not wearing ear protection in my early months but I've learned my lesson.
This forum helped me when in my first 3 months....a lot of great people here, T is life altering but is not life threatening, it is probably the worst trial that I've had in my life, but with good family support and friends here in DS it is livable, we can reclaim our lives. I get to sleep now (most of the time) without noise maskers, 6-7 hours, I can take naps in the middle of the day, started going out without the constant fear of loud noises, (I still wear Alpine ear plugs when I know I'm going to places where there is a possibility of loud noises occurring).
I still have a long way to go, I still get spikes or some troubled sleep, but the good days are getting more frequent compared to bad ones. I just tell myself that my reaction to the T oftentimes just ramps it up, I avoid MSG, loud places but overall I'm picking up the pieces of my life. TIME sure helps a lot, So thank you DS friends for being there when I needed you...

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
I'm still patiently waiting for the good days to increase. I seem to have peaked out at 3 low days a month:(
Thanks for checking in.

Hi Peter! Thank you for spreading hope.
I think he meant good days as in "non-reaction" days.
