I just started with TRT myself. It does have advantages over wearing an ipod as you can hear conversations, music, TV etc. I prefer the sound from my ipod, but it's unrealistic to wear it all the time. I,personally, would not like the Widex devices as the particular sound they emit would drive me crazy. Mine just play a continuous white noise which isn't unpleasant. It does take a bit to get use to, but now I forget they're in. I'll do anything at this point if they have a chance of working. My devices were $900. a piece which is more affordable than Widex, I think. Are you watching your diet, meditating etc., which all show to improve the T? I know how un-fun this is. I took 3 months off work to start habituating to this, but go back Sun. so we'll see what happens to my level of noise after this. Good luck to both of us!

I have widex. They cost around $2800.

You could white noise with chimes. Very pleasant sound.

TRT is the way to go. My T is bad, in my right ear. So, my habituation is taking a long time. This is my second time around.

I habituated 13 years years ago. But my T got worse, because I did not pay attention to it, and did all the wrong things.

Now, I have to start all over agin.

Benzos are hard to get off of, but at some point, I know you have to.

Sound Therapy, does work.

dlitz: what brand of aids do you have? They're alot cheaper than Widex Zen. I'm on a special diet now to hopefully help my neuropathy pain hoping it might help my T,also. I'm also limiting my salt. I would appreciate knowing how your TRT is going.
