I have posted the question somewhere but I failed to get a reply. I have severe T that is induced by noise. The audiologist insisted that because I have sensorineurial hearing loss my T will get better. I stopped using the hearing aids because I felt worse and my T has gotten worse.
He berrated me for not using it and would not believe that my T got worse.
Anyone with similar experience with HA?
Would appreciate replies

When I tried them I just couldnt get used to hearing thru a device. I know that it takes some time to get used to them. Of course it can make your T worse in the beginning. I think it takes time for your ears to adjust to them.

Give it time. it takes 2 months or so, before you will get adjusted to them.

There is a great benefit in using hearing aids, Improving your hearing, and will help you, with making you T less noticeable.

My audiologist told me she wished I did have hearing loss as then she could do something for me to help my tinnitus. I think they do help in the long run you just have to get used to them.

Danny if you have hearing loss you should check into hearing aids.

hearing aids dont do anything for 8khz+ hearing loss.

I would love to know about any hearing aid that would help me. I have unilateral sensorineural hearing loss and have been told that since the sound clarity is so bad, a hearing aid would only make the bad sound louder - like turning up the volume on a staticky radio station. Perhaps there is something new on the market? I also wonder if a hearing aid would make the t louder as well.

Kat i have that kind of hearing loss. I can hear but no clarity at all. The hearing aids my audiologist insists on don't help.
