Hey Patty maybe your HBP is a contributing cause to your Tinnitus .. i think you should take the meds as your Doc advises and see how you go ..
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
But still, I am on line looking up everything, wondering if it could be a tumor, cancer, or something else serious. (bad me)

Yep your a naughty girl for sure .. please stay off the web sites as you will end up a hypochondriac .. and very well done for looking after yer Mum .. buy your self some flowers .. you deserve them and yes Tinnitus always screams after a nap for most of us ... some times it goes back down and other times its in for the rest of the day ... Tinntus is totally un predictable for most of us here .. take care of your self ... mIcky

As far as my BP, it seems to be normal more than high, sometimes even low. For instance 100/75 but also goes high 145/90. I did tell my doctor that.
It is always high in his office, high as 165/100 He said it could be white jacket syndrome, when your BP goes high when you are nervous, but he said at any rate, my BP spikes most likely come about when I am not just there. He said the medication will only reduce my numbers by 5 points, not a huge amount and will aide in the spikes.
The past few days I have been so down, depressed, I have eaten much junk! Easter candy, chips and ham from Easter. Oh my I feel really icky!
Last night when watching the hockey game, at home, (booo Sabres lost,) so upset, it seemed my ears were not even ringing, as if it went away. I was thinking could this be true, did it just pufffff go away.
However, then I awoke this morning and my ears are both ringing so lound piched that I am in a tizzy not able to foucus. Why? Why? I ask, why did it go away and come back worse!
I did not even go to work, it is so bad, and I can not stop crying!
I am just sitting in a noisy panic.
I have read folks here say sugar and salt can add to T., acting up, and I did really over do it in the sugar, but again I ask, why would it cause T now, and never before? Did it do it before and I just did not realize it? No, I say, but maybe.
I tired a shower, it usually helps, but it did not help either, not a bit.
The awaking very depressed with a doom feeling is not new to me though, that started a few months ago, before this T got so bad. Then after my dogie passed it got worse. Now I have doom and T, its just to much.
I live in WNY, we had a bad long gloomy cold snowy winter, and taking care of my mom was a tough time, it took a toll on me I think. That is why I went to the doctor before my T a few weeks ago, he noted my BP high, and I asked for a antidepressent. I have took neither since as I stated my fears of meds, and then the unset of the T.
At any rate, I did call my neuro, made an appt. I have not seen her in three years, even though my family doctor states my T is nothing serious.
I do not know if seeing a ENT would even be benefical, since my family doctor said my ears look very good.
Its just so annoying, and the inner doom fears make me feel so anxious that I can not foucus on living my life.
I am not content at all. I can not read, enjoy doing anything at all, or feel like doing anything as if I am living in a bad dream. Then I just brake down and cry, I am so scared. Yikes, whats wrong with me?
If it would just let up a bit today, maybe I would feel better, but its very high intense hissing making it hard to not notice and in both ears.
Running busy, as I have done at times lately to not notice it, really tires me out too, since it is a anxious busy.
Like cleaning, exercising, rushing about to not think about it, but not really never comletely not trying to hear if it is there or stopped, if ya know what I mean?
Please excuse my "out there" behavior, at times.
I do see someone for my anxiety and am on the most part "normal" when my severe anxiety does not kick in and take over. The symptom of T, as truly added to my anxiety.
I have been advised to take a mild seditive, or take medication to be able to live more content, even before the T. and can only blame myself for not doing so, and holding on to phobic fears of medication that might help me.

I wonder if I should ask for a different BP medication since Hyd..... is known to cause T.
I did tell my Dr. on my last appt I started experiencing T., and at that time I did not start the med yet. I would think he would not want to give me a med., that could make it worse. Gets me upset.
He was already upset with me for not taking it two weeks before that appt, when he first prescribed it, at that time I did not have T.
And, as I have stated I have not taken it yet still. Oh my what a mess I got myself into, on top of worries about the T., now wondering if I should try the Hyd...or not.
If I take it what it if really make my T worse, that would really make me anxious, and would it get back to this stage if I stopped it? Nobody will know!
It is very strange why T intenses while sleeping or napping it seems for some. That is when I first realized mine became worse, one night I woke up and both ears were ringing, then it went away after I was up, stayed gone for two weeks, then came back again.
I read it is due to being in a quiet room and you notice it more. But that is not true in my case, it truly is a double ear hiss when I first get up, and like yours it settles down after I am up and about for a while.

Patty the one thing about Tinnitus thats stands out more than any thing is it's unpredictability !! , and thats the only predidictable thing about this damn ailment that we have, mine is different nearly every day, some time loud , and i mean loud ... some times medium loud and some times very managable , .. and easy to cope with .. i wish it were easy to cope with all the time .. yet some folks are you know !!
guess we drew the short straw eh .. Micky
