Oh yeah.. and also lots of junk foods in crunchy metallic containers that make my hyperacusis go nuts whenever i touch them. Crinkle crinkle crinkle...
Red wine (and green T) lower blood sugar which is why it may help T in some people. A number of people on this board have noticed drinking a glass of red wine will lower their T.
Turmeric is an anti-inflammatory. Sometimes when I take some green tea pills or turmeric pills, it will lower my T for awhile.
Green tea, freshly squeezed orange juice and good red wine are a relief. Coffee on occasion is fine.
I have noted that the Mediterranean diet is especially good. Good Greek to Middle Eastern foods cooked with olive oil, with a glass of red wine, and it not only taste good and is healthy, but has offered me several quiet ear days.
Some people find that just eating foods high in sugar makes their tinnitus louder.
