Regarding the demag, no one I know of has been "cured" by any means but several have reported benefits from initial use that later tapered and quite a few have reported continued benefit with continued use.

The key seems to be as always: what works for one may not work for another and those who practice consistent regular use through the ups and downs always seem to do best. In other words, sticking with it seems to be working for those it works for. It didn't work for me, however.

My personal experience...didn't hurt / didn't help. I used it for a month. Also, I have comments on it in my journal. Some have reported some success...

Sorry to bring up an old thread but I'm about to try this demag tool. For those that have used it, do you leave the insulation on the tip before putting it into the ear or take it off and place the bare metal tip?

Has anyone achieved any real success with this tool?

Only a few have had any appreciable effects. Like other treatments. it's difficult knowing when it's actually helping, when you just think it's helping (placebo) and when it's just warm weather softening your tinnitus for a few days. In other words, it's confusing as ever to measure the true efficacy of such treatments. All you can do is try it. Leave the red plastic tip on.
