Does anyone know what the typicla decibel level at a gym is? I currently try to go to the gym 3 days a week, but am concerned at what the noise is doing to my ears. At my gym there is music piped in overhead as well as the sound of the machines going. Should I be wearing ear plugs? I usually watch the tv with my headset on. Everything feels more loud to me because of the Hyperacusis, so it is hard to know whether or not the noise is above acceptable limits as far as decibel levels.
Thanks,
April

If you have a smart phone you can get a db app to measure the sound level at your gym or anywhere else. My experience is gyms are quite loud. I wear "in ear" earphones with good noise isolation capability when at the gym (or air travel etc).

Some gyms are louder than others. A previous one I went to played loud music - I would ask them to turn it down. This was before I got tinnitus & hyperacusis. When it first started, I found even the quieter gym I go to now unbearable, even with ear plugs. Since my t & h have improved, it's no longer as much of a problem. If your gym has a lot of pounding music, I'd wear ear plugs for sure.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
