Yes when i have too much salt.My ears will defintly let me know.

If doctors are now saying that T deals with the brain and not the ear then why do we have this clogged feeling? I never had it before T.

I thought maybe I had water in my ear and 'my head felt clogged.'
In 3 minutes my dr. told me I probably had tinnitus.

And there I was, baffled, angry, afraid, etc. and all the dr.s' could tell me was that there is no cure.

That was 2 years ago and nothing about my tinnitus has improved, instead it is now very severe.

Every case is different. I lost my hearing in the ear with the tinnitus, it's gone and will never come back. I would take deafness over all this chaos in my head.

I'm having an especially 'noisy head' day. I have found this site to be very good support. People here 'get it' they know what I mean about good days and bad.
Also, yes cutting down salt is recommend, you won't believe how much salt many foods have!
Caffeine, too much sugar, migraines seem to have an effect on my tinnitus.

The docs are just playing a guessing game. They are saying it is comming from the brain then they say it is the ear. Then why do perfectly healthy people get T after they have an accident if it;s in the ear.T is one of those mysteries illness and b/c docs don't have an answer. They tell you to 'JUST LIVE WITH IT" that is easrier said than done.they say stress will make it worse i am on valuim i have no stress what so ever but my T,and sometimes roaring and tones are still there.The valuim helps me cope.some people don't need meds but im not that lucky.
