central sleep apnea

hi everyone, how are you people doing? I'm not posting much here, too busy being miserable, so i developed central apnea lately (only on sleep on set) up to 3-5 bouts grasping for air before finally drifting.. both me and the doctor came to the same conclusion after studying the thing with an oximeter, the reason for this is cheer exhaustion, short sleep time and the always shifting and irregular sleep schedule... I'm not asking for advice because I know there aren't many solutions to this, I just wanted to share and maybe ask if anyone else experiences the same issue.. I also suspect that I could fix my sleep issues with some of the meds that are commonly taken in this situation, but I also realize that getting hooked isn't pretty , and coming off can be ugly.

I would recommend treating your sleep apnea with CPAP, otherwise you may be setting yourself up for a bad tinnitus day following poor sleep.

I am addicted to Zolpidem (generic ambien) and it will be hard to get off, but at least you can sleep and hope you wake up with better T.

You also get better REM sleep when you are not on sleeping pills, as my sleep study shows.

Never heard of central sleep apnea but I got the regular kind. I sleep much better on my CPAP.

I would most definitely look for ways to achieve regular sleep back as it is vital of the other hours when you are active. Taking some CPAP has done wonders for several members of my family so I can only add to the suggestion of giving it a go.

Taking some CPAP? Do you know what CPAP is? Anyways, I've struggled with apnea for years. I can not successfully wear a CPAP so I've given up. Unfortuanately it is medical sciences' only best answer. If you can use one and it helps then by all means get on it.
