It seems this research is for those who have drug induced T. How this is different from other T such as Acoustic truma T? Any Idea?

I had e-mailed Dr. Salvi back in August after I had read an article on the internet and the reply I received from him was.

These studies were conducted with animals with drug-induced tinntus. The drugs are experimental and there are no plans to conduct human clinical trials until further basic research is done with these compounds.

Sorry my good friends.. I was just evaluated at U of B by a colleague of Dr. Salvi, Dr Christiana Stocking. Nice woman, and very thorough, but here is what she offered me...
Hearing aids, and TRT... Neuromonics too if I wanted it.. Sound familiar?

Basically said, no breakthroughs, no cures on the horizon etc... Nothing new happening for T..
In other words, we're still on our own... I was pretty disappointed with my 8 hour round trip to U of B... Just to be told the same thing i heard 20 minutes from my front door, by the local audio... wish I had better news... bob

The answer is open source medicine, basically means we have to figure out how to try different things on ourselves or friends family etc. and share the results towards a solution that would fast-track the government red tape and industry limitations.
