Acamprosate (question for Earittated)

I think I read that you tryed acamprosate or campral. If so, how long did you try this for? I just found this study and it mentions a 3 month period of use. Also, could you still drink alcohol while using this med? I gladly give up almost anything for relief from this damned T, though I do enjoy beer.

JohnK, I tried the acamprosate but I didn't try drinking with it. I didn't want to get sick! I didn't take it for very long and I didn't find any relief with it. I think I tried it for only two weeks. Even without drinking it made me feel weird so I stopped that experiment.

Hi earitated, just read your bio- we have a lot in common; age, hockey,
tinnitus!
I've been working with a scenar on and off since Nov 07.
Maybe a little success- but I also had a bad spike a day after a scenar session. It did scare me.
I think my tinnitus resulted from a neck injury from hockey combined with cell phone EMF.
Anyway, keep on skating and shooting- I'll keep on saving the puck(I hope)!

Djmatco, I played soccer for two hours yesterday. I can barley move today. Skating is so much easier than running! Our ice is down for the summer so I have to substitute with soccer. Good luck and Game On!
