Xanax 76 % , gabapentin + klonopin , sulpiride56% , sulpiride+ melatonin 81%,melatonin 40% , sulpiride+ hydroxyzine 81% and prami and tileptal..
I guess you can try one of those and see if ti works for you. Melatonin and xanax in low doses comes with lees side effects and they are preaty much safe in the long term.
Man I wish I could sleep for 12-14 hours per day because i dont suffer whan I am in bed sleeping.
We're all sheep taking known vitamins and supplements instead of being leaders and taking risks... the answer is pretty easy actually.. target the nerve the lidocaine injections do with something else that lasts longer and with less side effects.. tada.. tinnitus controlled.
All this sound therapy is good but it's not what society needs, a quick fix.
Let me tell you a story to make you happy, i was seeing a psychiatrist when i first got this, and she told me she had T since she was 13.. well.. next time i saw her, i BLASTED her for being a lazy useless nothing of a "profesional" if she had t, medical training, the ability to perscribe and research but was spending her nights finding new friends on Facebook.
Needless to say, she told me she never wanted to see me again!
:)
but at least ONE medical professional got a piece of our collective minds.. i truly laced into her verbally without censorship, it was rude but lord knows i had to do it at least once in my life - for the team!!
Neilstar I dont have knowlegde to find a cure but I work on prevention. I told people all the time about tinnitus and what they can do to avoid it , and if only 1 od them realise that i dont speak like lunatic i would be happy and satisfied...I will start using melatonin soon and maybe sulpiride because it is available to me ... And if I find thet helpfull I will write that down here.
You must. Most doctors won't even think about prescribing medication for off label use and they certainly wont mention them.
Not only that, they are big on trying to alleviate mental suffering--and we all know T causes that!
The difficulty with finding a cure for T include a lack of funding, there are many causes for T, it isn't life-threatening (and in fact most people with T get along just fine with it), and most of all, it is brain problem--like Parkinsons, epilepsy, Alzheimers--and brain problems are EXTREMELY difficult to fix. It's like saying, "Why can't docs fix damaged nerves?" They can't fix broken nerves and they can't fix broken brains. :-/
However, with more vets coming home with T, funding is increasing, so there is hope that more treatments (not necessarily cures, though) will be found sooner rather than later.
Enis, you make a good point about sleep. I think I would have more good T days if I could could get a good night's sleep! 0_o
