Thank you for this inspirational find. Looks like GenVec is a look to for the future. And BTW that 213,000,000.00 is not for research at all. In the discussion he states that all studies were already paid for. This money is most likely to pay lobbyist to push this medicine thru. Possibly bribe money, but I dont care as long as it gets out here.

The therapy for ear treatment will most likely benefit Tinnitus because it focuses on the hair membranes that we all use to process sound and inhibit balance. It looks very promising. I cant tell how far along it is yet.

The power of the free market system that we call capitalism has some upsides. This sum of money would take years for the ATA to raise. We all thought 50 mil was a lot when the VA funded t studies. The payoff for investors is through the roof if any of Genvac's therapeutics come to market. Perhaps we should consider investing if it is available to the individual investor. God, this is exciting times to be living in. Our tinnitus will be cured within 10 years I feel.

I was thinking about that recently - that the US's free market system sometimes works in ways other systems can't - Huge pharmaceutical companies who desperately want medicines they manufacture to treat hearing loss and tinnitus and have the millions upon millions at their fingertips to pour right into - and those millions can seem like a few thousand to the likes of them - and they get the top researchers - because they can pay the top researchers - they get the top research universities in on it - because they have the moula sitting right there waiting for them -

Sometimes as I sit and watch the tide turns towards total governmental control - I wonder if we can produce the same outcomes under that system.

It's ironic that the desperate need to turn huge profits leads to benevolence to us little guys at the bottom feeder of life.
