this horror better. Sue and shoot me have you tried Soundcure?
it helped me for a long time. It doesn't work nearly as well as
it used to but with lorazepam I have recently notice a little relief.
I am disabled. Can't work or do anything productive.
If you have a pure tone Soundcure might work.
(for those who think I may be trivializing, my t is louder than ocean waves and ambulances)
Tinnitus is a minor issue for me and I once composed a "goodbye letter" on my sons 10th birthday. He's 17 now.
I have t mostly every day. I have good days and bad, and those nasty spikes, which I have now. Mostly I keep busy, and just seem to have gotten used to it. Today not so much, so I am hoping tomorrow will be better. :)
It is a wait and see situation right now.
i read ds but im usually on http://www.tinnitustalk.com i like it it is more active
I am participating in a Cleveland Clinic Tinnitus therapy. I am using a mp3 like device with blue tooth (cordless) ear inserts, very discreet, much like the new hearing aids. Its pretty easy to use and becomes second nature. The sounds I listen to are nature in essence. I am to use the device for minimum two hours a day for six months with regular clinical evaluations.
I feel after eight weeks that the ugly Tinnitus i have has toned down a bit most of the time. I am hard to impress especially since I have already tried Sound Cure with no luck and since this device seems to emulate the plain old mp3 player i use to mask this tinnitus albeit with chords going to the ears.
However, i feel there is more to this device as strangly i notice my mind is off the Tinnitus more often. Partly because i believe the tone is lower and more consistent in being of the same sound as opposed to constantly varying. I also don't seem bothered by it when i do notice it in quiet settings.
I think this study may be of great benefit if it continues to impress me. Again, it is becuase i am a critic of these devices and don't believe in them. This time may be different. I will keep the community abreast of my developments. Please don't hesitate to inquire.
I would like to share my experience with all of our sufferers.
Thanks,
Sue
