I know that this week is one of numerous school deadlines. I can not take off of work. School is not my main thing. I have a job, a wife and a church! Yesterday was very busy. Today I think the stress will come down if I can do a little gardening and put away the clothes. I still need to iron and eat breakfast, and it is almost six. Perhaps I will do those things first and then see if I can do some gardening.

I agree. Prioritizing is difficult, but practice makes it easier. I make lists , numbered, and sometimes color coded on which ones I need to do today and which ones I can do when I have extra time. The urgent ones go to the top like those with deadlines getting closer such as paying bills, etc. Try not to skip your meals because that is where your energy comes from. I once got so famished and dehydrated that my limbs were shaking even though I got to do the things I need to. From then on I never neglected my health, it comes first. It is good you have church involvement, that is important. I hope you get your prioritizing done.

I like how you pointed out that you have things that need to be done today and things that can wait until you have extra time. That really is half the battle...being able to honestly say what needs to be done today. I sometimes give tasks a greater urgency than what is due. I make them urgent, but it’s something I do. They aren’t urgent in and of themselves. I also feel encouraged by the fact that you have testified that practice makes it easier. I am witnessing that in my life. Little by little, I see larger chunks of my schedule in order, not rushed and on time. I like that feeling.

Forgive me if this sounds rude (it's not meant to), but does your wife work outside of the home as well? How do you split the household tasks between you both? Is there some way she can assist in order to support the fact that you are both working and studying?

Kiwicsi you were one step ahead of us! My wife actually put away all the laundry and did some other things in trying to help ease some pressure. She had a couple of days off and I feel that it came at just the right time.

This morning I left my little apartment to go to my job, which is over the mountain to a little school. I am a sub teacher so I dont get paid on holidays so I have to budget. I did all my math and bought food, paid bills, got just enough gas in my car to sail thru the week, spending nothing until friday when I finaly get paid. So I am then driving to work with 20 dollars to my name and a lunch...
