I feel the same way. I've received so much information here with this group. I check the site every day. In fact, I prefer to talk here to people who understand what we're going through instead of friends and family, who may be supportive, but don't have the knowledge and personal experience we have.
People's knowledge of cancer is very limited, especially for thyroid cancer. They don't know about RAI and I am usually not in the mood to explain it to them :-)
This group has been a great source of support for me. Thank you again and I hope you all continue posting here.

I agree, I really think this discussion group has been a godsend! 12 months ago when this all started, my ENT dr stated..."this is an easy cancer to have, if I had to give my wife cancer, this is the one I would have chosen." He was a great dr to have, very knowledgeable about the TT, but that statement led me to a false sense of ease. Although it has not been impossible, it is still cancer - have some respect dr. k!!

I asked him to suggest a support group - he did not know of one. I will absolutely suggest this for anyone I know needs medical support.

I feel the same way. i have a look at the site most days and although i dont always write a reply its good to read everyones concerns and all the helpfull replys they get. i have'nt found it easy to talk to people about my cancer but i am finding it easier to talk to the group. Im now getting there with my treatment just had my RAI, and i know from all the comments that i will soon be getting back to normal. BIG THANK YOU to everyone out there you have been a great support to me and helped put my mind at rest when i've needed it.

I have just found this site recently and i am very thankful too to everyone and the site even exist. It is an easy cancer but it is still labeled as "cancer", which i wish they had not. And thank you for your help on my question, this is the only place i found support for me.

count me in too! I have felt sort of lost now that I'm in the "in between" stage of my diagnosis. Finding this site and this group has been just what I needed. A place to open up and listen and learn from all of you that are experiencing the exact same thing as me.

This is a nice post. I as well am grateful. I couldn't sleep, was feeling anxious and a bit teary about my situation, so i came down to read the site--this was encouraging, knowing you guys are out there and walking this road with me. Thanks...

I feel the same way. The people on here (complete strangers) are wonderful. I was diagnosed in January of this year and am in remission. I still use this site to vent, look at others posts and to offer advice if I can. It is great to have the support of so many people. Thank you all for your continued support. It is great that we have each other :o)
