I am 7 months out from my surgery and 5 month out from the ablation. I had stage IV papillary carcinoma that involved my vocal cord and esophagus. I have been doing great. Just saw my endocrinologist and things seemed great. Tonight I felt a little tenderness in my neck and just found a hard lump in that area. To be honest I don't know if the lump is new as I haven't rountinely palpated my neck. My question is if anyone on here has had a reoccurance and if so did you have discomfort at the site and could you feel it? Question for all---were you instructed to routinely palpate you neck after your surgery?

Oh good lord! Not again, so soon! I'll be praying for you, friend. I wasn't told to regularly check my neck, no... But if you don't mind, I'd like an update on what you find out and what your endo says!

After really stopping to think about this I now think this is probably related to the vocal cord repair that was done in Novemeber. Keeping positive thoughts but will get it checked out.

Just an update: Heard from Pedsnurse, and praise God, the lump is just cartilage!! So happy for the good news, my friend;)

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
