I read this interesting article called, "Move you body to heal your mind" It said that exercise can actually prevent depression as well as help people already experiencing mild to moderate symptoms of depression.
Exercise even helps those with severe emotional illness when used in combination with other treatments. Depressed people often showed marked improvement after two to six months of regular exercise.
The way they think it works is that the brain counters the stimulus of exercising your muscles by exerting an opposite stimulus, releasing chemical messengers known as endorphins that cause pleasurable sensations and elevate mood.
Thought you all might be interested in this. I think I will go for a walk now. :)

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

As a teenager I would "run away" and play tennis and beat the hell out of the ball against a concrete wall.
I was told to exercise to help my asthma(walking is very good for that too) Hope you had a pleasant walk
It helps with stress as well, if I have had a stressful day at work, the boxing on the wii fit plus is very good, I just picture the person who has upset me face on what I'm hitting !!!
So yep all in all exercise is good for us..........
Exercise relieves some of those symptoms too. It fights the depression and the moods. I am always grateful to my walks.... My mind feels clearer. :)
I always get really painful periods as well, but since loosing some weight and doing all this walking they haven't been as bad, this month had a niggling ache but that was all, didn't need much painkiller wise for it at all, ah bliss, let's hope that's how it continues each month.
So exercise, walking, loosing weight has lots of bonuses to it !!
God Bless!
