The Party Room Community Group
A group that is open to all adults who want to have fun and enjoy themselves. A place to laugh and just have fun times together. An on-going party will be held and some games, jokes (please keep them reasonably clean OK?) and anything fun. This is not a place for serious discussion but a place to come and have fun when the rest of life starts to get us down.

Ok - let's talk about movies - our very favorites and why they are our favorites. Right now I can think of 2.
1. "An Affair To Remember" - Deborah Kerr and Cary Grant - the greatest love story of all time. When Channel 9 used to have the same movie every night for a week - I watched An Affair To Remember every single night. By night 4 - I was crying when the movie was 10 minutes in......such a tear jerker!
2. "I Am Sam" - Sean Penn and Michelle Pfeiffer. Penn is a retarded father who gives his daughter unending love. His daughter is taken away from him because of his low IQ. It is very heartwarming when she is returned to him because on one else is as good a parent as this retarded father. I love this movie.

75FIt is really cooler today and this will trick us into believing it will become cooler. Our hot summer will keep on aftert this week. We will not be fooled. Sandra, one of our regrets is not being able to visit Great Britain and travel for two weeks when younger. As we age we just become slower and that really takes away from travel. Our retirement did the same thing with age 65 vs 67 also if...

Hiya,It's cloudy with the occasional show of sunshine. It was sooo hot last night, felt like the worst night this year, which is odd because it's been incredibly hot this summer for us. Maybe I just felt it last night.Still, it's all going to change now and the weather will shift. Of course there's going to be a few more nice days left this month and next, but essentially I guess the "hot...

I love just about anything TX but it was great film. We listen to the sound track whenever we are driving in the Hill Country.
It's the most accurate modern mythology story I've ever known about. The Matrix is the illusion of space/time that we spend too much time thinking about. This is while the real world goes on just below our conscious awareness.
They talk about the Star Wars movies as the best in modern mythology, but don't think it can even compare to the
I guess there is a toss up in the Classics between "Gone With The Wind", the original "Little Women" (with June Allyson sp?), "Ben Hur" and "Metropolis"
Of the more recent movies the trilogy of "The Lord of The Rings" (can't wait for The Hobbit to come out) and Avatar in 3D
Why? Well they all have different reasons.
All have stories that I can either identify with or love to hear (and read in many cases). Read the books for Little Women, Gone With The Wind and Ben Hur when I was young. And Metropolis is an SF classic - a silent movie but even relevant today in many ways.
I have read Lord of the Rings several times (as well as The Hobbit) and find Middle Earth fascinating.
Used to play Dungeons and Dragons which is a game based on the Middle earth and Hobbit.
And Avatar is just something with an old story line but such wonder special effects it can take your breath away at times.
I am a Sci-Fi fan and lover of the genre, and the scenery in the two modern ones was awesome. And we watch it over and over again.
My take on it is this:-
War and Terrorism.
A place where most of the people are at War with those who do not agree with their political views and Terrorise those who do stand up for what they believe.
Makes me wonder what DS was thinking putting up a board like that on a support - a health support site.
Just says a lot about this place. The inmates are running the asylum as I am fairly certain that the board was created because a few people "lobbied" DS to have it - and now? Well it is impossible to put the toothpaste back in the tube.
A wartime naval officer seeks to leave his unimportant, non-combatant assignment in favor of destroyer duty on the front line. His is thwarted by his commanding officer (Jimmy Cagney) who wages war against his crew. Mr. Roberts defies the captain at great personal cost. Jack Lemmon and Robert Powell co-star. The ending is heartbreaking, but the final scene restores hope.
Hope Floats with sandra Bullock -love all her movies
There are alot of movies I love, the newest one is Twilight just love those vampires and werewolves.
freeway serial killer who is a "guidance counsellor" picks up reese on the highway and goes after her. she manages to almost kill him instead, then the authorities then go after her, until they finally figure out she is telling the truth about the guidance counsellor. truly great movie. inspiring actually. lol. makes you want to fight back, encourage others to fight back and learn marshall arts and weaponry. says a lot about conservative appearances/jobs being a total bunch of crap.
