That is so cool! I remember my mil telling me that after my fil died what she missed the most was a human touch. My family is a huggy bunch and she loved the fact that when I went down to her house that I greeted her with a hug (if she was behaving herself!).

Oh gene - thank you so much for posting this. I have seen a few videos regarding free hugs and they never fail to make my get a bit teary. Here's another one - same idea - just more of it to enjoy.

We had a person who did that - free hugs - in Melbourne (the capital city of Victoria - the state where we live).
At first people greeted him with suspicion but after a while the passers-by got in the mood and it was really great to see. Not something I would do - even though I love hugging - to total strangers on the street like that as you never really know who they are or what they might do.

But love the idea and it is certainly something I miss about not having the church fellowship at the moment - the hugs. There are other things to but that was really something that was so nice to have each week.

I thought it was cool that when everyone was hugging they were are genuinely smiling and looked happy. i for one would hug someone with a sign but i probably couldn't carry the sign asking for hugs

I can only imagine how they will be if their party defeats Obama in 2012.

But before that we have our elections and we ar hoping and praying that we don't end up like Britain - with a minority government as they really are not very workable - too many compromises have to be made.

BTW I got the city wrong - it was Sydney not Melbourne. Anyone from Sydney would have my hide for that - they are bitter rivals in everything. Glad I come from neither.

I don't know about it though - it transfers hugs over a mobile phone with a blue tooth gadget - that delivers a "hug" to the T - shirt. So - like what if it malfunctions? Does it electrocute you?
